“Buddha” means “Awakened One,” someone who has opened from the sleep of ignorance and sees things as they really are. A Buddha is a person who is completely free from all faults and mental obstructions. This painting of Buddha represents the spiritual side of me that is free from depression and anxiety. The bright colors in his face bring me joy, and the closed eyes make me think of peaceful, deep meditation.
